Independent studio Space Raccoon Game Studio has enthusiastically announced that The Mosquito Gang, its asymmetric multiplayer game that pits friends against each other in a battle between humans and bloodthirsty mosquitoes, will be released on May 20, 2025, on Steam. With over 100,000 wishlists and several successful closed playtests under its belt, the game proves that players are more than ready to face — or become — the buzzing threat.

The game features 2 to 5 players in intense matches where one person plays as the human while the others take on the role of mosquitoes. The human must protect their precious blood by completing tasks that earn money to purchase increasingly powerful weapons. These tasks range from simple activities like taking out the trash to more elaborate missions, such as assisting a scientist in creating a powerful mosquito repellent.

On the other side, mosquito players must survive and suck blood by completing quick-time events (QTEs), all while avoiding extermination. Every drop collected can be used to gamble for roguelite-style abilities or invested in the blood bank — a vital location for mosquito survival as humanity looms as a growing threat.

The game stands out for its blend of humor and strategy, offering three different scenarios that boost replayability and raise the stakes in every match.
