Toast Interactive, the renowned studio behind the acclaimed Richie’s Plank Experience, is set to release a new virtual reality adventure on the PlayStation Store. Max Mustard, a vibrant VR platforming experience, will arrive on PSVR2 on October 3rd, offering players a journey filled with inventive gadgets and colorful environments.

In this game, players step into the shoes of Max Mustard, a charismatic inventor known for his outlandish equipment, as he takes on Stubbins, a manipulative businessman capturing adorable creatures called mudpups. Stubbins sells these furry companions as elite vanity items, putting their population at risk. It's up to Max and the players to rescue the mudpups and stop Stubbins before it’s too late.

Featuring over 40 uniquely crafted levels, the game blends innovative platforming mechanics with immersive storytelling. Players will explore a variety of environments, from industrial factories to mountains, using Max’s jetpack to soar through the skies, solve puzzles, and engage in thrilling boss battles. The gameplay also incorporates first-person power-ups, adding extra layers of strategy and action throughout the adventure.

The accessibility and family-friendly appeal of Max Mustard have caught the attention of critics, making it an engaging experience for VR players of all ages. With its colorful visuals and compelling story, the game is perfect for solo play or to show off to friends. The title has also been nominated for Game of the Year at the AIXR Academy’s XR Awards 2024, highlighting its innovation in the virtual reality space.

In addition to the PSVR2 release, the game is already available for purchase on the Meta platform, giving players the chance to explore this charming world and test their skills ahead of its official launch on PlayStation.
