Greenhaven Realms is an idle medieval fantasy RPG that promises to take players on an epic journey through vast lands filled with dangers and treasures. Developed by Egor Magurin and Yelizar Skakun and distributed by Indovers Studio, the game is set to launch in the fourth quarter of 2024. In a conversation with Egor Magurin, the developer shared details about the inspiration and evolution of the project.

According to Egor, Greenhaven Realms was inspired by classics like Melvor Idle and Albion Online, as well as other retro-style RPGs. The game seeks to combine idle mechanics with real-time interactions, such as inventory management, combat, shopping, crafting, and exploration. "I’m developing this game solo, aiming for an Early Access release in Q4 2024. My goal is to polish and expand the in-game content up to level 60 by launch," Egor explains.

After the release, the studio plans to focus on improving the player experience based on community feedback. Egor plans to "gather player feedback in the first weeks, address major bugs promptly, and then focus on introducing new mechanics, features, and content through future updates." The game's economy and combat system will be built around multiple skills, such as woodcutting, wood processing, mining, alchemy, physical and magical weapon skills, and more.

The in-game economy will play a crucial role in the player experience. According to Egor, "these skills enhance the effectiveness or speed of various activities, such as cutting more wood to unlock the option to craft or buy a better axe, increasing woodcutting speed." Additionally, item crafting will allow players to create potions, weapons, and equipment essential for success in combat.

The future of Greenhaven Realms is promising, with plans to expand crafting features, such as allowing players to build their own homes for storage and crafting without paying NPCs for tool use. "I plan to introduce new regions, equipment, weapons, and enemies to explore, with content planned up to level 120," says Egor. He also highlighted that "there is still a lot of work to be done" and is committed to releasing a demo by mid-October, just in time for the Steam Festival. Notably, all content during Early Access will be 100% free after purchasing the game—no DLCs, microtransactions, or pay-to-win mechanics—ensuring an equal experience for all players.
