On September 16th, a Little Bat Games released the first in a series of content updates for its critically acclaimed debut game that explores psychotherapy, Vampire Therapist. Available for free to existing owners, this series of updates allows players to delve deeper into the world of therapy by counseling their mentor, a 3,000-year-old vampire with a troubled past of his own.

The first update, titled The Blood of Troy, explores the founding of Rome through the eyes of an immortal vampire. This new storyline offers players a unique perspective on ancient history, adding depth to the game's narrative while continuing to challenge their therapeutic skills in a historically rich setting.

Two additional free updates, Spanish Nights and Fathoms Below, are slated for release in 2024. These expansions will explore pre-Renaissance Spain and the birth of psychoanalysis, respectively, each bringing new layers of history and psychological insight to the players' experiences.

“Vampire Therapist resonated with players in ways we couldn’t have predicted," said Cyrus Nemati, Creative Director of Little Bat Games. "With our talented and nimble studio, we thought we could surprise the community by inviting them back into our world to learn more about our elder vampire."

The game has been praised by both critics and players for its compassionate portrayal of therapy, its realistic therapy mechanics, and its outstanding voice acting. Vampire Therapist holds a "Very Positive" rating on Steam, further cementing its impact in the gaming world.
