Dungeons & Kingdoms is a hybrid game combining medieval kingdom building, management simulation, and dungeon exploration. Developed by Uncle Grouch Gaming and distributed by Camlann Games, the project does not yet have an official release date. In an interview with the development team, the importance of the partnership with the distributor and the challenges faced during the creation process were discussed.

According to the team at Uncle Grouch Gaming, the partnership with Camlann Games is crucial for the development of Dungeons & Kingdoms. "It is extremely important. At this moment, it is the only way I can continue working on the game. And their marketing efforts have brought D&K into the spotlight." This collaboration allows the developer to focus entirely on game development while Camlann Games handles marketing and social media updates.

Dungeons & Kingdoms was born from the developer's love for building and RPG games. "D&K emerged while I was learning game development. I went through various ideas before settling on the theme. I love builder games and RPGs, and I always wished I could do both at the same time." The game allows players to build and manage a kingdom while venturing into dungeons, combining action and building in an innovative way.

Developing Dungeons & Kingdoms as a solo developer brought many challenges, especially in terms of time. "Making games is the most time-consuming thing I have ever done. The partnership with Camlann Games allows me to focus entirely on development while they handle marketing. It's extremely distracting for a developer to deal with social media updates and other marketing efforts."

The core of Dungeons & Kingdoms is the sense of realism and interaction with each object in the game. "Everything in the game can be interacted with, and everything you build or craft is made of something else. It should feel like you are evolving in a real village that grows into a town and then into a kingdom." Mechanics include resource gathering, wild animal hunting, and infrastructure building, all interconnected to create an immersive experience.

Players will encounter a wide variety of monsters in the dungeons, from dangerous wildlife to fantasy races and magical creatures like golems, imps, undead, and dragons. "When you return from adventures, you bring back loot that can be used in your city. It might be building materials or other items you can sell or trade to generate wealth. With more wealth and fame, you can attract more powerful heroes to your kingdom, allowing you to embark on more challenging adventures." Uncle Grouch Gaming plans to add much more content to the game, including new industries, roles for villagers, additional adventures, and combat mechanics. There is also a main storyline with an ending planned, and the intention to include a cooperative mode in the game.
