Developer Lumari Games has released an early demo of its new multiplayer game, Trickshotterz, ahead of its participation in the upcoming Steam Next Fest, offering an unconventional take on the classic Beer Pong formula. The game pits up to four players against one another in physics driven matches, where the goal is to land shots in opponents' cups while performing increasingly outrageous maneuvers to earn points and outscore the competition.
Matches encourage creativity by turning every attempt into an opportunity for spectacular plays. Rather than settling for a straightforward shot, players can bounce projectiles off walls, rocket ride across the arena, launch themselves through the air, and chain together different mechanics to sink seemingly impossible shots. The result is an experience defined by competitive chaos and unpredictable moments capable of changing the course of a round in an instant.
A wide range of special items helps keep the action constantly evolving. Throughout matches, unique power balls appear across the arena, giving participants tools that can dramatically shift the balance of play within seconds. Available options include explosive projectiles that split into swarms of mini balls, shockwave spheres that send opponents flying across the map, and remote controlled shots capable of reaching angles that seem almost impossible.
Player customization also plays an important role in shaping each match. Before a round begins, participants choose a specific ability to complement their preferred playstyle. Available options include Dash, which focuses on rapid movement and repositioning, and Wind Blast, which allows skilled players to deflect incoming projectiles, including their own shots.
The early demo features two distinct themes and a total of fifteen levels, providing a preview of the content that will be showcased during Steam Next Fest. These arenas include spinning obstacles, portals, angle altering platforms, and shockwave orbs, creating varied situations that constantly challenge players to adapt.
Another highlight of the demo is the Vacuum ability, one of the three abilities currently available. This mechanic allows players to pull back any projectile they have fired, including power-ups, opening the door to creative combinations and highly precise aerial plays that further expand the game's strategic possibilities.
