Ernestas Norvaišas, in collaboration with Team17 Digital, has recently released the first paid DLC for Sweet Transit titled Locomotive Pack and launched the free Electrifying update for all players on PC. This new content brings a fresh layer of depth to the game, combining paid and free additions that enhance the railway management experience.

The Electrifying update introduces an entirely new Electricity System, allowing players to power their Railway Empires with buildings like Coal Plants and Wind Turbines. Players must balance their energy production to ensure that both their trains and the needs of their citizens are met, adding a strategic challenge to the gameplay. This update also includes new electric trains and wagons, providing cost-efficient transportation options that players will need to manage alongside their power grid.

For those seeking even more variety, the Locomotive Pack DLC adds six new trains, ranging from classic steam locomotives to high-speed bullet trains, giving players more choices in how they build and expand their railway systems. These new trains bring diversity and strategic options to meet different gameplay styles and challenges.

The free update also includes key improvements to the infrastructure, such as substations and powerlines, which are crucial to expanding the electrical network. Players can decide whether to go green with wind turbines or industrial with coal plants, tailoring the energy system to their vision of progress.

With these additions, Sweet Transit offers a more immersive and engaging experience, blending the nostalgic charm of train simulation with modern strategic complexities. The new update and DLC together allow players to modernize their networks and push the boundaries of their rail empires.
