This two-month delay was announced by the game’s director, Yevhen Grygorovych, who explained that the additional time will be crucial for further improving the game’s quality. "We know you might be tired of waiting, and we truly appreciate your patience. These two additional months will give us the chance to fix more 'unexpected anomalies' (or simply 'bugs', as you call them). We are always grateful for your ongoing support and understanding - it means the world to us. We’re just as eager as you are to finally release the game and for you to experience it for yourself," Grygorovych said.

With the new release date approaching, GSC Game World has shared the biggest and most comprehensive update on the game yet. The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Developer Deep Dive, which premiered in collaboration with Xbox on August 12, 2024, revealed a variety of never-before-seen content, including interviews, behind-the-scenes looks at the development process, and many new scenes, such as an overview of the game’s world, various locations, gameplay, and cutscenes. Additionally, a full walkthrough of one of the story missions was presented, giving fans a detailed look at how the game plays out.
