The Brazilian developer Soín announced the release of the demo for lunr.rdio.taxi during the Six One Indie showcase, accompanied by a brand new trailer introducing the project’s concept to the public. Set in a hypercapitalist brazafunk future, the title envisions a world where artificial intelligences have taken over the delivery market, forcing human workers to rely on Queima de Finos™ technology to achieve competitive speeds.
The experience combines drift mechanics with rhythm based gameplay, giving rise to a genre the studio has named Driftmo. The entire gameplay structure is built around Brazilian electronic music rhythms, maintaining a strong connection to the nightlife culture of street parties and raves, an element that also directly shapes the game’s visual and audio identity.
In development since 2023 by a team made up almost entirely of LGBT and neurodiverse people, the project has accumulated appearances at major independent and cultural events. The production was part of the official selections for PerifaCon, the NewGame+ exhibition, Festival Jogatório, and also appeared at the last three editions of Gamescom LATAM. In 2025, it simultaneously joined the Panorama Brasil showcase alongside two other booths at the event.
Recognition has also extended to awards. In 2026, the production won the very first EAI! Awards prize for Best Direction, reinforcing the prominence it has been gaining within the Brazilian independent scene. The demo is currently available to play on Steam and Itch.
