Solo developer Argyro Brotsi has unveiled a new trailer for Seina: A Tale of Spirits, a title inspired by her travels through Japan and her admiration for its villages, nature and traditions. Scheduled for release in 2026, the game will arrive on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. In the video, the teaser shows Mika searching for her missing cat and offers a first glimpse of glowing spirits, tranquil landscapes and the serene atmosphere that shapes the experience.

The teaser also highlights forest trails, ancient shrines and spirit-touched locations that unfold in a soft watercolor style. The setting invites players to explore at their own pace and enjoy a calm, atmospheric journey. As the official material states, “Forest paths, old shrines and spirit-touched places unfold in a soft watercolor style, encouraging players to explore at their own pace and enjoy a calm, atmospheric journey.”

The world draws from traditional Japanese values, a strong connection to nature, an appreciation for small details and a quiet sense of life present in every corner. This sensibility appears in the construction of the environments and in the way discoveries unfold naturally along the journey.

Gameplay centers on relaxed exploration and intimate discoveries. Players wander through watercolor environments, uncover secrets, interact with friendly spirits and observe environmental details that gradually reveal the world's story. The text also explains that “The world draws from traditional Japanese values, connection to nature, appreciation of small details and a quiet sense of life in every corner.”

Narrative moments emerge through gestures, expressions and simple interactions rather than extensive dialogue or fast-paced progression. As Mika ventures deeper into the spirit realm, she encounters shrines, forgotten paths and ancient dwellings that hold memories of the past, reinforcing themes of connection, respect and the quiet magic found in everyday moments.

Key highlights include a hand-painted watercolor world inspired by Japanese nature and folklore, peaceful exploration through welcoming environments, light puzzles suitable for all ages, friendly animal spirits with unique personalities and atmospheric non-verbal storytelling expressed through gestures and environmental details.
