Inspired by public domain works, Royalty Free-For-All, the multiplayer game that brings together 14 iconic characters from history to battle across beautifully hand drawn arenas, receives an official release date and arrives on Steam on August 11. Developed by AAAA Games, with a focus on accessible combat for up to four players, the party fighting game already has a demo available, allowing players to experience some of its main features.

The demo includes four playable characters and two stages, with support for both local and online multiplayer. The game features a wide variety of single player and multiplayer modes while emphasizing an easy to learn approach, making it simple for newcomers to jump into the action without mastering complex mechanics. Party Mode was specifically designed to make the fighting genre more approachable for first time players.

Online matches are powered by rollback netcode, providing smoother gameplay in both quick matches against random opponents and private lobbies with friends. The project has already attracted praise from the competitive fighting game community, with legendary player Hungrybox describing it as "Cuphead meets Smash Bros.", highlighting its blend of classic animation inspired visuals and fast paced multiplayer combat.

The visual presentation stands out with fully hand drawn characters and stages inspired by timeless classics, reimagined for a modern audience. The soundtrack has also been rebuilt from public domain compositions, including tracks such as "Punk-Rockabye Baby", while optional visual effects like film grain and cel shading add a nostalgic aesthetic that reinforces the game's distinctive style.
