The fantasy JRPG Shelterra the Skyworld is now available on all platforms, delivering an adventure inspired by classic RPGs, featuring pixel art environments, exploration across a vast floating continent, and strategic turn-based battles. Developed by MAGITEC and published by KEMCO, the title introduces a world threatened by a mysterious corrupting force, combining exploration, skill progression through discovery, and fantasy elements.

The story follows Claude, a young man who dreams of becoming a professional adventurer but finds himself caught up in events far beyond his expectations after accepting a simple escort mission. Set on the floating continent of Shelterra, the narrative revolves around the threat of Odium, a mysterious corruption capable of destabilizing the entire region and causing it to fall to the surface below.

During his journey, Claude discovers that the talking stone he carries is actually an Artifact, a guardian spirit destined to protect Shelterra. This revelation leads him to join forces with the Orlok regime and embark on an expedition across the Sky World, where he must investigate the secrets surrounding these entities and find a way to prevent the destruction of his homeland.

The progression system introduces a learning mechanic that moves away from the traditional approach of automatically acquiring skills through leveling up. To unlock new techniques, players must defeat specific monsters and gather information from informants, using the clues they discover to identify which creatures hold the desired abilities. This system allows players to develop different skill combinations and expand their party's combat possibilities.

Turn-based strategic battles also feature Artifacts, spirits that can be summoned to assist characters during encounters. These entities possess unique abilities that can inflict devastating damage on enemies or protect the party against powerful attacks. Exploration further complements the experience with dangerous dungeons, enemies, and secrets scattered throughout the vast floating continent.

Shelterra the Skyworld is available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows devices, Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2, with cross-buy support between the two generations of Sony consoles. A special edition featuring the complete game and all available additional content has also been announced for Xbox and PlayStation 5 and 4.
