Confiction Labs and Agate have just unveiled the first public playable demo of RIFTSTORM, an upcoming ARPG shooter and looter infused with roguelite elements. The announcement comes as the studios gear up for Steam Next Fest in June 2025. In this universe, players take on the role of a Weaver, an elite operative tasked with sealing interdimensional rifts and confronting cosmic threats that fuse mythology and science fiction in high-octane combat scenarios.

Playable solo or in 3-player co-op, each mission offers an evolving and unpredictable challenge. Thanks to build diversity and randomized roguelite upgrades, no two runs are ever the same. This gameplay variety ensures every session feels fresh, making it ideal for both casual players and streamers looking to showcase dynamic action.

The game also features deep lore and a richly crafted world, offering fertile ground for reaction videos and theorycrafting. With its blend of supernatural warfare, secret societies, and flashy, fast-paced combat, the experience is tailored to stand out on livestreams and social media alike.

The Steam Next Fest demo includes four missions, starting with a tutorial and leading into the intense Operation 1411. Players will have access to four fully unlocked Weavers, each at level 30 with distinct playstyles. Each comes with two preset periapts, allowing for meaningful customization from the outset.

Both solo and co-op modes are available in the demo, encouraging players to go it alone or team up with friends and fellow creators. With eye-catching visual effects, challenging boss encounters, and a structure built for replayability, this first hands-on look is set to make a powerful impression during the festival.
