PIXELSPLIT has officially launched the second open playtest for Deadly Days: Roadtrip, an action-packed roguelite that blends reverse bullet hell combat with strategic inventory management. This playtest brings a variety of updates, introducing new characters, maps, and items for players to experience firsthand.
Set in a world overrun by zombies, the game invites players to embark on an adventurous road trip through a post-apocalyptic landscape. Survivors must navigate relentless waves of undead, gathering experience and collecting powerful items to enhance their arsenal. Crafting effective weapons and experimenting with item combinations are key to fending off increasingly challenging hordes.
Over the past two months, PIXELSPLIT has introduced numerous enhancements, including an improved inventory system, fresh maps, and unique enemy types. Players also get an initial look at the meta base, along with many bug fixes, an optimized user interface, and a new soundtrack to deepen the gameplay experience.
The development team is excited to see player reactions and gather feedback on these updates, which reflect PIXELSPLIT's ongoing commitment to refining the game. With three playable characters, revamped inventory mechanics, and even more intense zombie battles, the studio is eager to share the latest version of their creation.
