Croatian indie studio Pine Studio, known for its immersive puzzle experiences, has released the first free demo of Escape Simulator 2 on Steam. The update introduces the largest and most complex escape room in the franchise to date, set within the sprawling and eerie grounds of Dracula’s castle. The demo is available to play solo or in co-op with up to eight players, offering a collaborative experience that blends mystery, logic, and fun.
The studio also unveiled a new gameplay trailer, originally premiered during the Triple-i Initiative digital event. The video offers a dark and intriguing look at what’s coming, with new scenes that expand the boundaries of the escape room genre.
In addition to the series’ most detailed environments yet, the new game features 12 brand-new escape rooms ranging from stranded starships to cursed pirate ships. With enhanced physics and more dynamic interactions, players will feel like they’re stepping into a real-life escape room.
Another major highlight is the new Room Editor 2.0, an upgraded toolset that lets players create and share custom rooms. This updated editor includes a new lighting system, modular building tools, and an animation editor, giving creators more freedom than ever.
