Developed by 1 Poss Studio, Ninja Ming is coming to Steam on April 11 at 4AM GMT, priced at just $8.99. To celebrate the launch, the team has prepared a special two-week community event featuring over $450 in Steam gift card prizes — a true celebration for fans of fast-paced challenges and precision gameplay.
This is a 2D precision platformer where the protagonist must master teleportation-based movement. Throughout 241 levels across eight chapters, players will traverse the so-called "Path of Trials," combining ninja abilities and sharp reflexes to overcome increasingly clever obstacles. The teleportation mechanic, inspired by the “Flying Thunder God” technique from the Naruto anime, adds extra depth and style to movement.
The journey of the main character, Ming — a common name in China, chosen to represent the "ordinary person" — mirrors the path of the developer himself. Jackutea had no prior programming experience when he began developing the project in 2020. After roughly 10,000 hours of dedication, he turned his idea into a polished game with its own unique identity. The message is clear: with practice and persistence, anyone can achieve something extraordinary.
Among the highlights are fluid controls, instant respawns, and game modes designed for different player styles. Assist Mode allows you to slow the game speed down to 0.3x, ideal for those looking for a smoother learning curve. Speedrun Mode, unlocked after completing any area, invites players to race against the clock — the current record for the first chapter (“Forest”) is 102.73 seconds, held by Tichat002.
For explorers, every room contains collectible scrolls that unlock surprises. Once the first four chapters are completed, players gain access to the “Scroll Portal,” leading to the mysterious “Inner World” — the game’s second half. Hidden achievements and various Easter eggs round out the experience, offering plenty of replayability for the most dedicated players.
A dynamic electronic soundtrack by 4 Channels Club enhances the immersion in a world where precision, style, and determination define your progress. Whether you're a casual player or a competitive ninja, the journey through these 241 challenges promises rewards in both skill and satisfaction.
