Studio Cima has announced that The Perfect Pencil will be featured in the upcoming Steam Next Fest with an updated demo. The new version enhances the original experience, which already offered around two hours of gameplay, covering the game's first area, The Soft Forest. According to the studio, these improvements were made based on player feedback: "We want this new version to reflect everything we've learned from the community."

In addition to gameplay refinements, the demo will introduce a special new challenge: "We're adding something new for players to experience—a brand-new boss fight, accessible directly from the main menu." This addition will allow players to dive even deeper into the game’s world and test their combat skills before embarking on the full journey.

In the game, players take on the role of John, a protagonist who confronts his inner fears while navigating surreal, hand-drawn environments. The Perfect Pencil blends exploration, psychological tension, and strategic combat, offering eerie encounters and narrative choices that lead to multiple endings.

Studio Cima describes the game as "a unique experience inspired by Magritte, Lynch, and Nintendo." This fusion of influences promises a visually intriguing world filled with hidden meanings, challenging players both emotionally and through gameplay.
