Developer Tekden Studio announced today that Ertugrul of Ulukayin, a third-person action-adventure game set during the Turkish medieval era, will launch in early access on Steam on June 12, 2025. The title invites players to explore the ancient lands of 13th-century Anatolia, diving into a world where history, legend, and combat intertwine in a story marked by ancestral secrets.

Playing as Ertugrul, Turgut, and Meryem, each with unique weapons and fighting styles, players will face enemies such as Mongols, legendary creatures, and a secret order threatening to corrupt the balance of the world. Amid intense battles and crucial decisions, the narrative revolves around a central mystery: the existence of an enigmatic artifact known as the "Key of the World," which may seal the fate of humanity.

The journey goes beyond physical confrontation. Set in a semi-open world, the game invites exploration of historical landmarks and ancient ruins while characters experience vivid dreams that blend wisdom and nightmares. These dreamlike moments deliver cryptic messages and hidden clues that expand the mystical dimension of the story, blending reality with legend.

Historical authenticity is reflected in the meticulously recreated medieval Turkish setting, including steppe life, ancient ruins, and the warrior spirit of the Turkish people. The dynamic world requires hunting, gathering, and survival skills, with increasing challenges and unpredictable dangers lurking in every explored region.

Gameplay is enriched by distinct combat mechanics for each character, encouraging players to master their styles and upgrade their abilities. The story is driven by elements of Turkish folklore, brought to life through symbolic dreams that sometimes reveal truths and other times mislead, testing the player’s wisdom and faith.

Finally, the game also allows players to build and lead their own oba, a tribal settlement strengthening the community, restoring justice, and standing against the forces that threaten the land.
