Echoes of Mystralia has received a new update for its Steam demo, expanding the reach of the experience created by Borealys Games. Available since the beginning of this year, the demo currently holds an 89% positive rating on the platform based on 147 user reviews. Alongside the update, the studio also released a new trailer showcasing some of the game’s latest additions and its magical world.

The main highlight of the update is the addition of support for eight new languages, including Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, German, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Latin American Spanish. With these additions, the title now supports a total of ten languages, including English and French.

Blending roguelite elements with action RPG gameplay, the game places players in full control of building their magical abilities. Its core concept revolves around spell creation freedom, allowing players to combine different effects, refine strategies, and adapt combat styles according to the challenges faced throughout the adventure.

The story takes players back to the world of Mystralia in the role of Mazarim, a guardian tasked with protecting the Cycle of Memories. Throughout the journey, players must confront the Shadows of the Past and prevent Oblivion from consuming the kingdom. The World Memory serves as a guiding force, leading the protagonist in a mission to preserve the history and identity of that universe.

The spell crafting system, which already stood out in Mages of Mystralia, returns in a more advanced and expanded form. The mechanic allows players to manipulate memory magic to create virtually limitless combinations of abilities, encouraging constant experimentation and different strategies for every encounter.

Beyond customizing powers, progression also depends on evolving the character’s capabilities and carefully choosing efficient spells to face creatures and bosses scattered across the map. As players advance, they unlock new magical possibilities and move closer to mastering the arcane arts of Mystralia.

The adventure spans roads, villages, lakes, and mountainous regions marked by the presence of Oblivion. The world promises multiple paths, some safer and others more dangerous, offering different rewards depending on the choices made during exploration.

Another major feature is the relationship between the protagonist and the kingdom’s inhabitants. Side quests help restore the lost memories of villagers and citizens while uncovering secrets tied to Mystralia’s past. The world map evolves alongside the player’s adventures, following the events of the narrative and reinforcing a strong sense of progression throughout the experience.
