Don't Lose Aggro, created by solo developer Oren Koren, reimagines the adrenaline of MMORPG tanking in a single-player roguelite experience. With a demo now available on Steam, the game invites players to command chaos, master aggro management, and relive the nostalgia of MMO mechanics, without the pressures of multiplayer.
In this adventure, the player steps into the role of an MMO tank, tasked with protecting allies through tactical and challenging battles. Gameplay revolves around precise enemy attention control, strategic positioning, and customized combat styles. Players can build archetypes inspired by classic MMO tanks, such as the agile Dodger, the resilient Blocker, the clever Kiter, or the commanding Taunter.
"Don't Lose Aggro was born from my passion for MMORPG tanking gameplay and my desire to create an accessible, solo experience that stays true to those mechanics," said creator Oren Koren. "I aimed to capture the feel of MMO group dynamics and raid challenges, but crafted specifically for solo play, free from guild drama and heavy time investments."
Inspired by raid mechanics and tactical combat from beloved MMORPGs, the game offers an engaging blend of strategic decision-making and fast-paced roguelite progression. Each encounter challenges the player to maintain control while evolving through careful choices.
Core features include mastering classic MMO tank roles in a solo setting, with dynamic abilities ranging from offensive charges to enemy-pulling hooks. Progression is also customizable, with talent points earned between runs that unlock permanent upgrades based on the player's preferred style.
The diversity of tank builds, combined with the replayability inherent to roguelites, encourages experimentation and deepens the tactical experience. The game is a modern tribute to classic MMORPG roles, reimagined for an intense and accessible solo adventure.
