Dominus Gladiatus is the new management simulator announced by independent developer and publisher Brain Seal Ltd, with a planned release in 2026. Set in Ancient Rome, the game places players in the role of a Dominus, tasked with running a gladiator school and leading its fighters in the pursuit of prestige throughout a season filled with brutal contests.

The experience revolves around building and managing a Ludus, where players must recruit fighters from the markets, develop their abilities and transform them into feared arena champions. Each recruit comes with unique strengths and weaknesses, requiring constant decisions about which gladiators deserve investment and which can be sacrificed in the relentless pursuit of success.

Beyond training, managing the roster involves balancing several factors that directly affect performance. Morale, fatigue, injuries and discipline must be carefully monitored, as success in the arena depends not only on combat skill but also on the ability to keep fighters prepared for the deadly challenges ahead.

Battles take place through one on one duels and team based encounters. Once the fighting begins, gladiators are left to rely on their training and equipment, putting every decision made beforehand to the test. Preparation, strategy and resource management can mean the difference between victory and death before the eyes of the Roman crowd.

Throughout the championship season, players will also compete against rival gladiator schools led by other Domini in a series of dangerous tournaments. However, winning battles is only part of the challenge. The favour of the audience plays a crucial role and can influence a fighter’s fate, determining who survives and who falls in the sands of the arena.

With its focus on management, character development and the brutal spectacle of Roman combat, the project aims to blend strategy and resource management into a ruthless competition where only the most successful names will be remembered.
