Sagestone Games has confirmed that Delverium will launch in Steam Early Access on September 22, 2026, after reaching the milestone of 80,000 wishlists. The open world survival RPG features a vast procedurally generated world, Steam Deck support, and cooperative gameplay for one to eight players.
The game delivers an open world survival experience by combining exploration, farming, crafting, settlement building, and dungeon crawling. Throughout the adventure, players gather resources, build shelters, grow crops, recruit non player characters, and take on dangerous dungeons as they venture into uncharted lands in search of a dark secret.
Development is led by indie creator Scott Lowther, who revealed that the project began as a way for him and his family to play together because of their shared love of cooperative games before growing into a community driven project. "Delverium began as a passion project for my family and me to play together due to our shared love of co-op gaming. With the help of a supportive community, Delverium has continued to grow into something special and we are excited to share our Early Access release date. We sincerely hope players appreciate the care and love that have gone into development and help us continue to shape Delverium's future," said Scott Lowther, lead developer at Sagestone Games.
The project is also supported by the Queensland Government through the Screen Queensland Games Grants program and by the Australian Government through the Screen Australia Games Production Fund. Alongside Lowther, the team includes BAFTA winning audio director and composer Jeff van Dyck, known for his work on Unpacking, Forts, and Paint the Town Red, as well as a small group of close collaborators.
The Early Access release on PC marks Sagestone Games' first commercial project and begins a new stage in which the studio plans to expand the experience with community feedback. Its blend of survival, building, cooperative exploration, and procedurally generated worlds positions the title as one of the promising indie releases of the second half of 2026.
