Brain Jar Games revealed during the Triple-i Initiative Showcase 2026 that Dead As Disco will launch in Early Access on May 5 for Steam and the Epic Games Store. The announcement was accompanied by a brand new trailer that showcases the release date and offers a deeper look into the game’s vibrant universe, highlighting epic Idol boss fights and a preview of its striking original soundtrack.

The released video provides a more detailed look at the neon drenched world, while emphasizing the energetic style of combat and the musical identity that drives the entire experience. The soundtrack, composed of engaging original tracks, is designed to linger with players even after the battles come to an end.

During Early Access, players will be treated to a wild ride through a stylized setting, featuring the first arc of a rich narrative campaign. The experience includes skill based challenges, rockstar inspired fashion elements, and an original soundtrack with over 30 songs. In addition, the mode "My Music" will allow players to use their own tracks, creating personalized and virtually endless gameplay sessions.

Among the launch highlights, players will be able to crash the show and challenge the Idols in a vibrant world where music meets mayhem. Hemlock appears as a former punk rocker who sold out the revolution to become Harmony Corp’s top enforcer, unleashing vandalism prone fans wherever they are directed. Arora is introduced as a next generation AI pop idol engineered for global domination, customized using personal data that the corporation claims it does not have.

Other characters also take the spotlight, such as Dex, a cybernetically enhanced guitar god connected to Harmony’s grid and obsessed with perfection, and Prophet, a rapper and producer who built and destroyed careers under the corporation’s command. Battles unfold to the rhythm of more than 30 songs in Infinite Disco, featuring an original soundtrack filled with streaming safe music, killer covers, and licensed hits.

Players will also be able to restore the music club "The Encore", collecting unique memorabilia that helps piece together the mystery behind Charlie Disco’s death and return. Throughout the journey, it will be possible to unlock each Idol’s unique boss abilities, expanding skill trees with more than 30 options, while also customizing appearance with skins, accessories, and animations.

Dead As Disco also leans into competition, allowing players to prove their stardom on both friend and global leaderboards across dozens of songs. With this, the title aims to blend narrative, action, and music into a dynamic and highly stylized experience.
