Thank You For Your Application has officially launched on Steam after surpassing 135,000 wishlists, highlighting the strong interest generated by its satirical take on corporate life. Developed by IceLemonTea Studio and published in partnership with No More Robots, the simulation game places players in the role of a recent graduate who begins their career as a recruiter at the Aeropolis Group.
The daily routine revolves around reviewing résumés and issuing rejection letters to applicants, each accompanied by specific reasons. What initially appears to be a straightforward job gradually evolves into a reflection on repetitive work, corporate expectations, and the ethical dilemmas that emerge throughout the protagonist's professional journey.
The narrative structure features multiple branching paths and endings, allowing decisions made both during work hours and in personal life to directly shape the character's future. The experience is built around the idea that a first job can define important directions in life, creating space for different interpretations of success, stability, and personal fulfillment.
More than one hundred candidates with diverse backgrounds cross the player's path, demanding careful attention and increasingly complex evaluations. Amid unusual situations and unexpected personalities, managing recruitment processes becomes a central part of progression, reinforcing the sharp sense of humor woven throughout the narrative.
Life outside the office also plays a significant role, as the salary earned can be spent on a wide range of activities and purchases within Aeropolis itself. At the same time, players must manage essential expenses such as rent and take care of their mental health to prevent the character from reaching a breaking point under the pressures of everyday life.
The social commentary grows stronger as the story unfolds, questioning the boundaries between hiring, layoffs, and workplace exploitation. The central premise ultimately raises a provocative question that defines the game's identity: when hiring becomes a farce, when the farce turns into layoffs, and when layoffs spiral out of control, where do the workers go?
