The Brackeys Game Jam 2024.2 is approaching, with registrations open from September 8, 2024, at 7:00 AM until September 15, 2024, at 7:00 AM. Organized by Brackeys, one of the largest channels providing game development tutorials on Unity, Godot, programming, and game design.

The game development period will be from September 8 to 15, and entries will be judged in six categories: Game Design, Fun, Innovation, Theme, Graphics, and Audio. This variety of aspects offers participants a broad range of opportunities to showcase their skills and creativity. The focus should be on originality and alignment with the theme, without being overly concerned with achieving perfection in every category.

After the submission period ends, participants will have two weeks to review other games. To be eligible for a prize, a game must receive at least 20 ratings. This encourages the community to explore and evaluate a variety of games, enhancing visibility and success chances for each participant.

Winners will be those with the highest scores across all categories, receiving recognition on the jam’s main page and the Brackeys Discord server, as well as a distinguished role. However, the event emphasizes participation and learning through the experience. Even if they do not win, developers are encouraged to use the opportunity to grow and enjoy the game creation process.
