According to Chris, the significance of the event lies in its ability to connect with different stakeholders across the industry. “For Xsolla, gamescom 2025 is fascinating because it offers an unparalleled opportunity to connect directly with the global gaming community – developers, publishers, and players alike. As a leading platform powering game commerce and services, Xsolla views gamescom as the ideal stage to showcase its latest innovations in monetization solutions. At both gamescom and devcom, the company aims to expand its network with developers, publishers, and platform holders. “Xsolla is committed to strengthening its industry partnerships by building deeper relationships with developers, publishers, and platform holders, while also exploring new avenues for collaboration. We place a strong emphasis on supporting indie and mid-tier studios by providing them with essential resources and networking opportunities to help them succeed in the game publishing industry. These events play a crucial role in expanding our global presence, accessing emerging markets, and gaining valuable insights that enable us to continually refine our offerings in the rapidly evolving gaming landscape,” Chris explained.
With recent platform updates that include alternative payment options and funding tools, Xsolla is preparing direct initiatives tailored to independent teams. “Yes, we're planning a strong presence at gamescom this year, with a particular focus on supporting indie developers,” he revealed. The goal is to make monetization and international scaling easier and more accessible for projects of all sizes.
Xsolla’s participation will include dedicated sessions, one-on-one consultations, and interactive demos. “At gamescom, we'll be offering dedicated sessions, one-on-one consultations, and hands-on demos tailored to the needs of indie teams,” Chris said. The idea is to present practical, adaptable solutions that promote long-term partnerships with creators.
When asked what independent studios can expect from Xsolla’s presence at gamescom 2025, Chris was direct: “Independent studios can expect a focused effort from Xsolla to level the playing field and provide all the things they need to run their games business.” In addition to strategic guidance, Xsolla’s team will be on-site to listen, advise, and collaborate with projects at various stages of development.
The goal is to turn conversations into concrete actions, giving visibility and recognition to independent creators. “It's about turning conversations into concrete next steps and making sure indie creators are seen, heard, and supported,” Chris concluded.
