Xsolla, a global video game commerce company, has announced the launch of the Journey of Indies (JOIN) Program, an initiative aimed at indie and mid-tier developers in Latin America. The program offers commercialization tools, mentorship, and strategic partnerships to help game studios grow their businesses. By integrating participants into the company's ecosystem of solutions, the initiative seeks to foster innovation, expand opportunities, and create new revenue streams for developers in the region.

The initiative follows a strategic timeline throughout the year. On March 25, a livestream will officially introduce the program at 5 PM (ET). On April 7, the acceleration phase will begin, preparing participating studios. On April 25, an official hub will be inaugurated in Brasília, establishing a dedicated space for industry development. The schedule also includes a panel at Gamescom LATAM on April 30 and participation in the B2B Innova Summit, taking place from June 22 to 26 in the Brazilian capital.

The program is conducted in partnership with Institutio Conecta and Indie Hero and is supported by the Secretariat of Science, Technology, and Innovation of the Federal District (SECTI-DF). The funding provided through this collaboration will enable the creation of a video game hub in Brasília, designed to offer training, business development, and hands-on commercialization education for Brazilian developers.

To support participants, the initiative ensures exclusive one-year access to educational programs, distributed by Indie Hero across Brazil. These resources will cover game business strategies, allowing developers to gain in-depth knowledge of monetization and distribution, extending beyond Xsolla’s solutions.

In addition to training, the program will select top talent for acceleration paths, helping developers refine their projects and business models. It will also leverage Indie Hero’s network of industry associations and collectives, expanding the reach of the initiative and strengthening the game development community in the country.

Indie Hero’s publishing label, GoGo Games Interactive, will play a crucial role in supporting participants by assisting them in integrating their games into the available commercialization and distribution ecosystem. The goal is to create an environment that facilitates the internationalization and scalability of the projects developed by participating studios.

According to Chris Hewish, Chief Strategy Officer at Xsolla, Latin America is one of the most promising markets for game development. He emphasizes that investing in local talent and establishing strategic partnerships are essential steps to transforming the region’s creativity into successful businesses. With applications now open, the program invites indie and mid-tier studios to take advantage of this opportunity and leverage the resources offered to enhance their projects.
