Curveball Games announced its collaboration with the Argentine developers at Oxobox Game Studios for its debut title, Sente, a strategic board game with simultaneous turns that puts up to six players in a tactical battle of intelligence.

The result of an idea developed over 20 years by the minds behind Oxobox, the project began as a sketch on paper and gradually evolved into a complete competitive experience. This process was essential for creating its core element, a unique simultaneous turn system that redefines the traditional dynamics of strategy games. Players can already access a playable demo that introduces the main mechanics and helps them understand the game’s identity.

During matches, it is necessary to think strategically, plan the next move, and anticipate the opponent’s actions, since all decisions happen at the same time. This approach creates a dynamic and unpredictable environment, where every choice can trigger immediate and impactful consequences.

In addition, the system allows players to create chain reactions, encouraging them to deceive opponents and execute decisive surprise attacks. Despite its complexity, the board features a solid structure, ensuring clarity and depth in strategic interactions.

The demo includes a mission based tutorial designed to familiarize players with the gameplay flow, as well as Player vs AI matches with one or two simultaneous opponents. It also introduces the Campaign mode and its characters, offering a first look at the experience’s universe and possibilities.

With an estimated duration of around one hour, depending on the player’s skill and curiosity, the demo allows AI matches to be replayed as many times as desired, as well as quick matches through the menu. In this version, the Player vs Player mode is not available, but new multiplayer testing phases will be announced soon.

The demo is structured around three distinct opponents, each designed to teach specific aspects of Sente. The TV Teacher introduces basic concepts such as energy flow, laser positioning, and action resolution, including early chain reaction moves like pushes and explosions. The Claw features two difficulty levels, with the easy mode being more forgiving and the normal mode more challenging, requiring better anticipation of moves. The Challenge Bot offers a deeper look into the game’s strategic language, featuring 23 handcrafted puzzles such as "Win in 1 turn" or "Win in X moves", where each challenge presents a fixed board state and focuses on clarity of solutions, with hints available that assist but do not fully solve the challenges.
