Jakarta based developer Antimeta Studio has unveiled a new trailer for its debut game, Verde, which centers on restoring abandoned magical gardens while transforming forgotten settlements into thriving green communities. The trailer also reveals the game's release date, with its launch set for August 12 on Steam. Published by Assemble Entertainment, the title delivers a relaxing city building experience, replacing the pressure of intensive management with creativity, peaceful exploration, and beautifully handcrafted visuals inspired by nature.
Players step into the role of Verde, a student at the Mage Academy who has recently joined its struggling Gardening Club and is tasked with bringing abandoned communities back to life. Throughout the journey, they will meet the Seedlets, adorable enchanted plant like creatures that call the gardens home. By building houses, fulfilling their needs, and creating the right environment, players will watch the Seedlets roam freely, interact with one another and with buildings, and generate valuable resources that help the settlement flourish.
Progress unfolds across three distinct biomes, each introducing new buildings, gameplay mechanics, and environmental challenges that expand the city's possibilities. The building system also stands out with interchangeable architectural parts and a wide range of color options, allowing every settlement to develop its own identity while balancing gentle resource management with creative freedom.
Alongside its story driven campaign, Verde will feature a replayable Sandbox Mode for players who prefer unrestricted building and experimentation. Designed for fans of relaxing management games, the title blends city building, exploration, customization, and a calm pace into an inviting experience focused on creativity and peaceful progression.
