Adelaide based studios A Few Dragons and Egnazol have announced UnQuollified, a mystery adventure coming to PC via Steam. The project embraces a cozy approach to the point-and-click genre, blending investigation, emotional storytelling, and hand drawn environments inspired by Australian landscapes.

The story follows Sam, a struggling artist who returns to his hometown after learning about the death of Joey Pink, a childhood friend from whom he had grown apart. While the local police have ruled the case a tragic accident, the evidence uncovered by the protagonist suggests that the truth may be far more complicated.

Set in the sun drenched and nostalgic streets of Bridgegully, the adventure takes players through locations ranging from peaceful bushland areas to the neon lit corners of the local pub. As the investigation unfolds, the secrets of a small community begin to surface, revealing that nearly everyone in town is hiding something.

The progression system encourages careful observation of both the environment and its inhabitants. Clues gathered throughout the journey can be recorded in an artistic journal through sketches created by the protagonist, allowing players to connect information and reconstruct the events leading to Joey's death. Conversations also play a major role, as choices made during interrogations can build trust or raise suspicion among the suspects.

A Few Dragons says the new title represents an evolution of the studio's previous work. “Making games and seeing other people enjoy the small amount of creativity you put into the world is truly a special thing,” said Keirron Stach, Creative Director at the studio. He added, “Putting stories together filled with emotion, creating challenges for people to overcome is something that myself and the A Few Dragons team don't ever want to take for granted. Unquollified is the next thing we are putting all our passion into, learning from our previous titles and giving it our all”.

The mystery unfolds across a reimagined version of regional Australia, brought to life through a cast composed entirely of anthropomorphic animals. Each resident has their own story, motivations, and possible connections to the crime, expanding the narrative possibilities and encouraging different approaches in the search for answers.

Exploration will lead players to tranquil beaches, restricted industrial facilities, and vibrant local festivals. Time spent pursuing specific activities can unlock unique side stories and influence the fate of several characters, creating alternative paths through the narrative.

Beyond its central mystery, the story explores themes such as jealousy, regret, and the burden of creative legacy. These personal elements intertwine with the criminal investigation, turning the search for the culprit into a journey of self discovery for the protagonist.

With its focus on narrative choice, quirky characters, and hand drawn art direction, the project aims to deliver an investigative experience that balances cozy charm with suspense, inviting players to uncover who is hiding the truth in Bridgegully.
