Trackastrophe! will arrive on Steam on May 28 as a light and creative take on the puzzle genre. Published by Black Smoke Studios and developed by the Belgium based Kinoko Studio, the title invites players to build railway tracks across isometric levels with a retro cartoon inspired aesthetic, guiding a quirky train through increasingly unusual challenges.

The experience revolves around analyzing maps and strategically assembling paths using different types of tiles that determine direction and movement. Once the route is planned, players simply pull the lever and watch to see if everything works as expected. The concept blends logic and experimentation, encouraging players to test solutions while trying to guide the train safely to its destination.

The levels feature a variety of biomes with their own identities, totaling more than one hundred stages that introduce distinct mechanics as players progress. Obstacles include tunnels, ravines, slippery surfaces and even interdimensional portals, creating unpredictable situations that demand constant adaptation. For those seeking an extra challenge, bonus levels push the difficulty even further.

Beyond solving puzzles, the game also emphasizes customization, allowing players to change colors and accessories for the locomotive, including a wide range of hats that enhance its playful tone. This aesthetic layer complements the journey, giving players the freedom to express their own style throughout the experience.

Even in the most chaotic situations, the game reinforces a clear message of persistence, reminding players that a solution is always within reach. For those who get stuck, a hint system is available to provide guidance, ensuring the experience remains accessible without compromising its core challenge.
