The Shore Enhanced Edition will launch on PlayStation 5 on April 30, 2026, bringing its Lovecraftian experience to consoles in a fully adapted and refined version. Developed by Dragonis Games in collaboration with Iphigames, the title is also planned to arrive on Xbox Series X and S later this year. Originally released on PC in 2021, the project marked the studio’s debut and introduced players to an experience defined by its oppressive atmosphere, towering creatures, and deeply personal narrative.

Five years after its original release, the console version represents an important milestone for the studio and a significant evolution of the intellectual property. "Players had been requesting The Shore on consoles continuously over the years, and I am genuinely glad that through our collaboration with Iphigames, we can finally make the game accessible to even more players. This is a moment we have been working toward for a long time and the Enhanced Edition is the definitive way to experience the island." said Ares Dragonis, founder of Dragonis Games.

At the core of the experience is a deep connection to the Lovecraftian mythos, a literary tradition defined by cosmic indifference, forbidden knowledge, and the insignificance of humanity in the face of ancient, unknowable forces. This philosophical foundation shapes the entire narrative structure.

Players take on the role of Andrew, a father who arrives on a remote and cursed island in search of his missing daughter. What begins as a desperate journey quickly turns into something far darker, as ancient forces lying dormant begin to distort reality itself.

Decaying ruins, twisted landscapes, and whispers from beyond human comprehension accompany the protagonist at every step, creating a constant sense of unease and tension.

Throughout the journey, players must survive encounters with eldritch entities while piecing together clues about the fate of Andrew’s daughter. Each discovery pulls the protagonist deeper into a growing nightmare, where knowledge can be both a tool and a threat.

Exploration reveals abandoned villages, ruins, and strange environments, while the story unfolds through documents, events, and fragments of the past that gradually reconstruct the island’s history.

The experience also features environmental puzzles that require logic and observation, along with the use of ancient artifacts that provide valuable abilities but come with consequences.Sound design plays a key role in immersion, using silence, ambient audio, and whispers to build constant tension and deepen the psychological horror.
