Subnautica Below Zero will arrive on iOS and Android devices on March 10, developed by Unknown Worlds and ported to mobile by Playdigious. The mobile release marks the expansion of the franchise’s universe to new platforms, bringing the survival and exploration experience to an even wider audience.

The new journey takes place in an arctic region of planet 4546B and invites players to dive into freezing waters after a forced landing on the surface. The narrative is driven by the following premise presented by the developers: "Submerge yourself in an all-new, sub-zero expedition in an arctic region of Planet 4546B. After crash-landing planetside, set out into frigid waters to investigate what happened to your sister..."

Throughout the adventure, the title deepens the mysteries already introduced in the original game, expanding the universe with new biomes, creatures, challenges, and story elements. The proposal is to amplify the constant sense of discovery while maintaining the atmosphere of isolation and curiosity that defines the series.

Players can already pre-register on Google Play or pre-order on the App Store, securing a 10 percent discount on the launch price, which will be 8.99 dollars instead of 9.99. Among the central themes of the narrative are the search for the truth about the aliens who once inhabited the planet, the fate of the protagonist’s sister, and the emotional impact of uncovering these secrets.

Survival gains new layers with the extreme cold of the arctic region, requiring the crafting of thermal suits, the use of hot beverages, and the exploration of natural elements that help maintain warmth. Base building, resource gathering, and equipment crafting remain essential, as does the use of vehicles to traverse frozen areas and submerged environments filled with danger.

Subnautica Below Zero also features a version reimagined and optimized for mobile devices, with a touch-exclusive interface, integrated achievements, cloud saves between compatible devices, support for MFi controllers, and specific optimizations for iPhone 15, including the Pro Max model.
