Publisher No More Robots, known for titles like Descenders, Hypnospace Outlaw, and Yes, Your Grace, has teamed up with developer Konafa Games to launch a new dark and intriguing project: Starless Abyss, arriving on Steam on April 25th, 2025. Blending deckbuilding mechanics with cosmic horror, the game challenges players to confront ancient deities in a desperate mission to save the universe from annihilation.

Taking on the role of a Proxima — a doomed soul awakened from cryogenic stasis — players must command a fleet of ships and build an ever-growing deck of powerful cards. The journey involves battling interdimensional horrors, collecting artifacts, upgrading abilities, and facing intense moral decisions: resist the creeping madness or fully embrace it?

The experience unfolds across four acts, each darker and stranger than the last. Along the way, players can unlock five unique Proximae with distinct backstories and traits, explore eight card factions to customize their deck, and acquire dozens of ships — though not all may survive to the end of the run.

To further fuel the chaos, 20 Ritual Cards offer devastating effects when played in moments of desperation. With nearly 200 cards available to discover, combine, and unleash upon enemies, the game promises a tense and strategic descent into a universe on the brink of collapse.
