Terletski Games has announced the opening of public registrations for the playtest of its upcoming satirical narrative adventure, Sobakistan: The Land of Dogs, as well as its official presence at Tokyo Game Show 2025. The title transports players into a closed totalitarian state, where the story unfolds through the eyes of six playable characters. The project combines JRPG-style systems, dialogue puzzles, exploration, and metanarrative structures, all set against the backdrop of authoritarian absurdity.

Key features include a deep and branching narrative with multiple endings, puzzle-solving and exploration, prison mechanics woven into the story, and a unique pixel art aesthetic. The project also draws inspiration from the original Sobakistan comic book, reinforcing both its visual identity and themes.

The developers have opened registrations for a limited public test, scheduled for October 2025. This marks the first opportunity for international players to experience life behind the walls of the canine state. A newly released trailer offers a glimpse of the core mechanic: in Sobakistan, any step can lead to imprisonment, whether by talking to the wrong person, picking up a leaflet, or simply standing in the wrong place. The demo alone includes 27 different ways to be arrested.

This mechanic, which combines constant tension with narrative progression, is carefully integrated into the experience, creating a balance between dramatic depth and systemic oppression. According to the creators, the experience resembles "Minesweeper in a totalitarian anti-utopia," where every decision can bring immediate and unexpected consequences.

The development team is also preparing a special presence at Tokyo Game Show 2025, taking place from September 25 to 28. During the event, attendees will have access to an exclusive offline demo, themed merchandise, and opportunities to meet the developers in person.
