Remain At Your Desk, the hacker themed incremental simulator developed by Crunch Moonkiss Studios, has received a new update for its demo after earning positive reviews on Steam. The studio also announced the game's participation in Steam Cyberpunk Fest, taking place from August 3 to 10, where it will showcase new content for the game that challenges players to maintain the appearance of a model employee while stealing information from their own company.

The experience places players in a double life inside the RAYND corporation. During working hours, they must complete routine office tasks, submit reports, and synchronize databases to appear productive and earn promotions. Once the workday ends, the real mission begins by infiltrating the corporate network to extract confidential data, bypass firewalls, and stay one step ahead of the company's security systems. Before starting, players can also choose their character's background, such as a company veteran, an infiltrator, or someone trapped in debt, with each origin changing the way the game unfolds and even how the CONDUCTOR interacts throughout the journey.

The progression system revolves around balancing risk and reward. Every successful infiltration increases the company's suspicion, potentially leading to audits and interrogations that threaten the entire operation. If the protagonist's cover is blown, all progress is lost and the player is sent back to the Intern rank. At the same time, the game features two separate economies. Credits earned during the workday are used to purchase upgrades, automation, and extra time, while the information stolen during infiltrations fuels a dedicated upgrade tree and unlocks permanent advantages in the Black Market as players climb the corporate ladder.

The mechanics also introduce personas that allow players to infiltrate as different identities, including a janitor, an IT administrator, or a consultant, each offering unique advantages that wear down with repeated use. If suspicion becomes too high, players can reduce the pressure by filing fake reports, deleting logs, or bribing witnesses. In addition, repeatedly targeting the same systems builds permanent leverage through dossiers, revealing strategic information about employees, security networks, and executive files that remains available even after restarting the game.

The prestige system rewards players who earn promotions by allowing them to begin again with stronger multipliers and retained personas. On the other hand, getting caught during corporate espionage means losing nearly all accumulated progress, reinforcing the constant tension between maintaining the image of a dedicated employee and carrying out an increasingly ambitious hacking operation.
