Pixel Maniacs released the demo for ChromaGun 2: Dye Hard on February 17, bringing a new experience for fans of first-person puzzle games. With the iconic ChromaGun, players must paint droids that are magnetically attracted to surfaces of the same color, using this mechanic to solve complex challenges. Between deadly traps, furious droids, and tools like color changers, paint removers, and catapult pads, the journey unfolds in a comedic story about friendship, redemption, and the multiverse.
The demo has been refined based on feedback collected during extensive private testing, ensuring a polished and engaging experience. In this test version, players explore a specially designed challenge track featuring two brand-new variants of the ChromaGun. The level design encourages creativity and experimentation, offering puzzles that require logic and precision to solve.
With four stages full of mysteries, the demo features audio and subtitles that unfold across five different realities, along with 11 hidden collectible items. The test chambers become progressively more challenging, introducing color-mixing mechanics, reality jumps, hostile WorkerDroids, and electrified blocks that add even more tension to the lab environment.
To ensure accessibility for a wider audience, the game includes a colorblind mode, removing barriers for those who struggle to distinguish colors. Combining innovative challenges with its signature humor, the experience promises to captivate both veterans and newcomers to the world of color-based puzzles.
