Hyperfocus Interactive has announced a significant update for Northanda Chronicles, merging deck-building mechanics with party-based RPG elements. Players command a trio of heroes navigating a world under threat from reality-warping Chaos. Each character possesses unique abilities but shares a single, evolving deck, requiring players to balance their strengths and needs to forge a unified strategy. "We just released a big update to Northanda Chronicles. It brings vast improvements to UI, art direction, balance, and gameplay. We're super proud of this one and would love to share the news," the team stated.

This update enhances the overall gameplay experience by implementing a reworked map generation system, ensuring smoother progression through dungeons. Players will find shops and events easier to access, allowing for better pacing during their adventures. These changes contribute to a more engaging exploration experience, making each run more exciting and satisfying.

In addition to map improvements, the update includes numerous balance changes to cards and artifacts. For instance, the cost of cards like Subterfuge and Subterfuge+ has increased from 0 to 1, while the damage of the Pulsar Blast has been reduced from 25 to 20. Meanwhile, other cards like Ambush have seen a decrease in cost, making it easier for players to integrate them into their strategies. This balance aims to create a more dynamic and competitive environment during gameplay.

Artifacts have also been adjusted, with the Seedling of Regrowth seeing its healing increase from 3 to 4, enhancing the support capabilities of characters. Furthermore, gems like the Emerald now yield increased gold gain, going from 3 to 5, thus providing players with more resources to work with during their quests.

As part of the update, the enemy known as Titan has been renamed to Verdant Colossus, signifying a fresh perspective on the challenges players will face. With these extensive improvements, Hyperfocus Interactive aims to elevate Northanda Chronicles to new heights, offering an enriched experience that both new and returning players can enjoy.
