ICE Beam and Secret Mode have announced a new free update for the multiplayer party racing game Make Way, bringing a series of additions and improvements. The highlight is the inclusion of one of the community's most requested features: the ability to compete with more players.
Now, up to six players can race locally or online, with full crossplay support across all platforms. The gameplay remains the same: collect track pieces, build a minimally functional course, and launch opponents into the void in pursuit of victory. The chaotic experience that defines the game has been taken to a new level.
With more competitors on the track, the races are set to be even more intense. To balance the action, the new Bulldozer track piece arrives as a strategic tool. It allows players to remove obstacles placed by opponents, clearing a path to the finish line – or setting the stage for even deadlier traps.
The custom race mode has also received enhancements, offering even more control over match rules. Players can now adjust the final score limit, modify the number of failures required to trigger a checkpoint skip, and define which weapons and obstacles will appear. They can opt for a perfectly balanced experience or dive into complete chaos by removing barriers and scattering weapons across the track.
Additionally, three new vehicles have been added to the roster, bringing even more variety to the races. The Crumple Zone, Thunder, and Milk Truck – inspired by streamer and Make Way fan SMii7Y – expand the competition possibilities and add an extra touch of personality to the races.
With a positive reception from critics, Make Way has already established itself as a hit among party games. Holding an 83 Metacritic score for PC, the title has been described by TechRadar Gaming as "the perfect party racing game." It is available on PC, Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®4 (PS4™), PlayStation®5 (PS5™), Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, with full crossplay across all platforms. The six-player local multiplayer mode is available on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
