The international developer Nekki recently unveiled an exciting new trailer for SPINE at the Future Games Show during gamescom. The video showcased a series of new features, including intense cinematics, parkour scenes, boss battles, and an original soundtrack composed by Le Castle Vania, known for his work on John Wick and Payday. With cinematic combat set in a cyberpunk world, the game promises to redefine the "gun fu" genre when it releases in late 2025 for PC and consoles.

The trailer highlights a thrilling parkour chase, new finishing moves, and boss fights, including a battle against an enemy equipped with a combat exoskeleton and a ninja who uses spider mines. "Action movie fans will notice nods to classics, like a close-quarters hallway fight and the iconic presence of white doves," said Dmitry Pimenov, the game's producer.

Another key highlight is the debut of SPINE's soundtrack, composed by Le Castle Vania, whose music has been featured throughout the John Wick movie franchise. The new single is now available on platforms like Spotify, Soundcloud, and YouTube. In the game, players take on the role of Redline, a rebellious street artist who, along with her sentient combat implant, Spine, fights against the autocratic AI regime of the Tensor Corporation. The dynamic between Redline and Spine forms a core emotional and narrative aspect of the story.

Developed with Unreal Engine 5 and Nekki's original animation system, Cascadeur, SPINE puts players at the center of an action movie, with combat scenes that never repeat. "We want players to feel immersed not only through the story but through the action itself," Pimenov explained. "With the help of real-life stunt specialists, we’ve created a fluid and dynamic combat experience where every battle can be choreographed by the players themselves."

With the combination of a vibrant cyberpunk world, stylized combat, and an intense soundtrack, SPINE promises to deliver a unique cinematic experience where action and storytelling blend seamlessly, creating an unforgettable journey.
