Cozyflame Games, an indie studio formed by two independent developers, has released a new Steam demo for Iona's Island, an adventure that lets players create their own charming sandbox sanctuary while uncovering the secrets of a paradise island. The title will launch for PC on November 19, 2026, inviting players to restore a magical island built upon the back of a gigantic sea turtle by combining exploration, nature magic, and creative freedom in a relaxing experience.

Players take on the role of Iona, an ancient guardian of nature chosen to restore balance to the island after the enormous sea turtle has spent centuries asleep on the ocean floor. The journey involves restoring forests, rivers, and ecosystems through powerful nature magic while uncovering hidden locations and ancient mysteries scattered across the landscape as players help the island's inhabitants with a variety of tasks.

Progression also emphasizes interaction with the local community through meaningful quests, memorable characters, and activities that strengthen the bond between the island's residents and their restored home. Each milestone unlocks new areas and encourages exploration in search of collectibles and hidden secrets that enrich the environmental storytelling.

The experience also features a building system that allows players to create and customize their own sanctuary. They can decorate the environment, reshape the landscape, and design a place that reflects their personal style while enjoying a peaceful and stress free atmosphere.

Handcrafted environments, colorful art direction, and a relaxing lo fi soundtrack reinforce the game's contemplative tone. A third person perspective and full controller support round out the features available in the new demo, offering a preview of the complete experience ahead of its Steam launch in November.
