I Love Dog originated from a live presentation by Rami Ismail during an episode of Mike & Rami Are Still Here, held at Develop Conference Brighton about a month ago. The concept presented to the audience was deliberately simple and unusual: dogs would compete for love while fighting other dogs and solving challenges involving crates in the style of sokoban.

The idea, which initially seemed destined to remain only on stage, caught the attention of Chris McLaughlin and Rosie Packwood from Moon Mode Studios. McLaughlin attended the live presentation and was so intrigued by the concept that he decided to turn it into a playable project, leading the team to develop a concrete version of the proposal presented by Rami.

Development progressed quickly, transforming the improvised idea into a complete experience that brings together dogs, fights over affection, and crate puzzles in a single concept. The project also marks a collaboration between Rami Ismail and Moon Mode, which took the concept originally presented before a live audience and turned it into an actual game.

The game is now fully playable through itch.io, allowing players to experience the result of an idea that was born during the presentation and took shape only a few weeks later. The experience retains the irreverent character of the original pitch by combining dogs and sokoban mechanics in an adventure centered on love and competition between the animals.
