House 2 is now available on Steam as the sequel to the horror game developed by Bark Bark Games in partnership with Glowstick Entertainment. The new chapter moves away from the original’s retro pixel art graphics in favor of a storybook inspired art style, featuring hand drawn illustrations that complement the gruesome atmosphere of the experience. The console release is scheduled for September.

The cursed house takes a central role in the experience by functioning as a living structure capable of changing and reacting to the player’s decisions in real time. Every action, or even the decision not to act, can trigger different responses from the environment, turning exploration into a constant attempt to understand the house and find ways to survive its threats.

The available resources also expand the possibilities for survival, with different items that can be used throughout the journey. Marty, Tabby’s snail companion, accompanies the protagonist as she faces manifestations of evil inside the residence, creating a dynamic that combines exploration, experimentation, and resource management.

The choices made throughout the campaign directly influence Tabby’s fate through a non linear structure featuring multiple endings. The design encourages different approaches to exploration, as seemingly minor decisions can alter events and determine how the story ultimately concludes.

The experience also includes the BarkStation, an in game device that allows players to access minigames inspired by PlayStation 1 titles. Among the available options is Kimiko’s Curse 2, providing a break from the pursuits and moments of horror while expanding the amount of content available to explore.

Tabby’s deaths are also part of the sequel’s visual identity, with different gruesome ways for her to succumb to the creatures and domestic abominations. Each defeat is presented through hand drawn animations, using a variety of styles to depict the protagonist’s fate in an elaborate manner as she faces the dangers lurking within the house.
