Hela: of Mice & Magic has received a new trailer released by Knights Peak in partnership with Windup Games, confirming that the cooperative adventure will launch in the fourth quarter of 2026. The announcement also marks an important milestone for the project, which has surpassed 1 million wishlists ahead of release, where players explore the world through the eyes of a brave mouse in a 3D cooperative adventure.

Alexander Benitez, Studio Head at Windup Games, highlighted the importance of the support the game has received throughout development. "We're incredibly grateful for the support Hela: of Mice & Magic has received from players around the world," he said. "Reaching this point in our journey is both exciting and inspiring for our team. As we enter the final stages of development, the enthusiasm and encouragement from our community continue to motivate us every day. We can't wait to welcome players into the world of Hela later this year."

The experience has been designed with cooperative play at its core, supporting up to four players in both online multiplayer and split screen modes. Players take on the role of a small mouse tasked with helping a kind witch care for the land she has protected for generations, exploring forests, meadows, wetlands, and burrows while using a magical backpack to reach new areas, gather resources, and interact with the environment.

The game's world draws inspiration from the landscapes of Scandinavia, featuring enchanting forests, beautiful lakes, and towering mountains. Exploration is encouraged through an interactive environment with realistic physics, objects that can be manipulated in different ways, and hidden paths that reward players' curiosity throughout the adventure.

In addition to exploration, the adventure blends story integrated puzzles with gameplay centered around solving challenges using the magical backpack. The experience also emphasizes small acts of kindness as a central theme, encouraging players to find purpose in simple gestures while progressing through the journey.

Eugenio Vitale, Vice President of Publishing at Knights Peak, celebrated the project's latest achievement and the collaboration between both teams. "Surpassing one million wishlists is a fantastic milestone for Hela: of Mice & Magic and a testament to the passion, creativity, and dedication that the teams at Windup Games and Knights Peak have poured into this project," he stated. "It is a privilege to work alongside such talented people, and we're thrilled to see so many players already eager to begin their adventure."
