Soda Game Studio, in partnership with Infini Fun, has released the demo for DIG Raider: Anomaly Extraction, giving players a first look at its blend of cooperative digging, team based competition, and extraction mechanics set within underground environments filled with supernatural dangers. The demo allows players to explore five distinct levels, with matches lasting approximately 20 to 30 minutes and featuring unique mechanics, hazards, and a variety of challenges.
Players take on the role of outlawed "Deep Divers" who are sent under military escort on a high risk mission to investigate mysterious anomalies hidden far beneath the surface. Throughout the journey, teams must dig through more than ten layers of the unknown, gather valuable resources, upgrade their equipment, and secure alien gems before rival squads can claim them.
The demo includes three different game modes. Solo mode challenges players to face the dangers of the underground alone, exploring tunnels and surviving threats without assistance. The cooperative PvE mode encourages teamwork through shared resources, coordinated excavation efforts, and deeper exploration. For those seeking direct competition, the 4v4 PvP mode pits two squads against one another in a race to collect the greatest amount of treasure and valuable artifacts before extraction.
Two playable characters are available in this test version, alongside cosmetic parts that can be collected during matches and carried over to the full release. The game also embraces a lighthearted and chaotic tone, allowing players to tackle dangerous expeditions while wearing animal onesies as they descend into increasingly perilous depths.
The environments take players through unusual locations, including haunted factories, ancient mummy cities, and irradiated sewers. Along the way, explorers must decide whether to avoid the supernatural horrors lurking in the darkness or confront them directly in pursuit of rare treasures and mystical artifacts. Ghosts, mummies, and ancient entities stand among the many threats waiting below.
Described by the studio as the world's first vertical extraction shooter, the project aims to distinguish itself by turning progression into a constant descent into the unknown. Regardless of the selected mode, the ultimate objective remains the same: locate alien gems, accumulate enough wealth, and reach the extraction train before the opportunity to escape disappears.
With a strong focus on cooperation, competition, and exploration, the demo already showcases the core systems planned for the full release, offering a preview of its combination of strategic digging, resource gathering, and intense battles for survival in the depths of a mysterious underground world.
