Independent developer SinPoDo has released a new trailer for Destiny Is Dice, a turn-based roguelike that will launch on Steam on January 29, 2027. The adventure places the characters' fate in the hands of dice, combining tactical combat with mechanics that allow players to manipulate results, change the course of battles, and influence events throughout their journey.

The story follows Ail, a knight who awakens in a dungeon where dice determine what happens and sets out on a mission to rescue someone trapped within its walls. Along the way, he receives help from Grin, a witch capable of manipulating dice results through her magic. Her ability to reroll dice or change their numbers allows players to create more favorable conditions and overcome the challenges they encounter.

The turn-based combat system requires both allies and enemies to obtain specific dice results to activate their abilities. Grin's magic allows players to interfere with this mechanic, adjusting outcomes to unlock skills that would otherwise be difficult to use under unfavorable circumstances. Her powers can also affect enemy dice, adding another layer of strategy to battles and requiring players to consider how each alteration might influence the outcome of an encounter.

Beyond combat, exploring the dungeon gradually reveals secrets about Ail's past as he recovers lost memories throughout the adventure. Grin's unknown plans also contribute to the mysteries surrounding the narrative, while the enigmatic nature of the dungeon raises questions about the events connecting the characters and the fate that awaits them.
