Crema revealed, during a spectacular world premiere at the Triple-i Showcase, Temtem®: Pioneers with a presentation trailer that surprised audiences. "Forget everything you know about turn-based combat! Temtem: Pioneers is jumping headfirst into an ambitious open-world survival crafting adventure, while staying true to creature collecting roots. Taking you far from the cozy confines of the Archipelago and dropping you into the Downbelow, a massive, wild, and utterly untamed region awaits with new Temtem to be discovered. Get ready to scavenge for resources, build epic homes, and master a totally new, fast-paced real-time action combat system!"

The proposal marks a significant shift in the franchise’s known formula, abandoning turn-based combat in favor of a more dynamic, real-time action-oriented approach. The new title takes players beyond the Archipelago, introducing Downbelow, a vast, wild, and dangerous region where survival will be essential.

In this hostile environment, Temtem are no longer just battle companions and instead play a crucial role in survival. "Out in this rugged frontier, your Temtem aren't just for battling: they're your crucial companions for survival! Need to glide over a tricky canyon? Gotta hunt down some super-rare materials? Or maybe you're defending your newly-built base from a squad of rowdy wild Temtem? Your unbreakable bond with your squad is the secret sauce to conquering the wilderness! Crema has launched an official Kickstarter campaign to rally the community and co-create this exciting new game! Tamers can jump in and support the project starting today to grab exclusive goodies and help us bring the wild and untamed Downbelow to life."

Surviving in Downbelow will be challenging and unpredictable, requiring players to constantly gather resources, build shelters, and prepare strategically before each expedition. The environment reacts dynamically, with wild creatures roaming freely and constantly testing the player’s ability to adapt.

As players explore the world, they will be able to gather materials, craft equipment, and build customized bases. Each biome introduces new resources, new creatures, and different ways to interact with the world, encouraging experimentation and creativity throughout the journey.

The combat system has also been completely redesigned, offering direct control over up to three Temtem at once. Battles are fast-paced and demand quick reflexes, allowing players to chain abilities, dodge incoming attacks, and create powerful combos in dynamic encounters.

Additionally, more than 200 creatures can be discovered and tamed, including brand-new species as well as familiar ones, now reintroduced into a wild environment. Each creature features unique abilities that assist not only in combat, but also in exploration and resource gathering.

The experience can be enjoyed both solo and in cooperative mode, allowing players to join forces to build settlements, explore dangerous regions, and share discoveries. Cooperation expands strategic possibilities and strengthens the sense of community.

The game also emphasizes player freedom, allowing each person to choose their own path, whether as an explorer, strategist, builder, or devoted caretaker of their creatures. This variety promises unique and personalized experiences.

The title will be released for PC via Steam® and the Epic Games Store, while console versions are still under discussion. More information is expected to be revealed throughout the Kickstarter campaign and during development.
