Known for its stylized indie projects focused on experimentation, DeadPixel Studio has unveiled its new project, Terraclysm Survivors, an online co op action roguelike centered around visual chaos, overpowered builds, and massive enemy hordes. Still without a confirmed release date, the game already has a Steam page available and represents another step in the studio’s approach to highly replayable experiences driven by expressive gameplay systems, something also present in the Machick series and the developer’s previous projects.
In the new title, players gather in online lobbies to choose characters and maps before crossing mysterious portals into worlds consumed by collapse. Each environment draws inspiration from different mythological interpretations of the end of the world, ranging from cursed kingdoms to divine realms falling apart, always surrounded by chaotic scenarios and unpredictable encounters.
The structure of each run revolves around constant experimentation. Throughout every attempt, players collect upgrades, combine abilities, and discover synergies capable of turning fragile survivors into unstoppable engines of destruction. The experience encourages creativity and risk taking, allowing every match to evolve in completely different ways.
As progression advances, combat becomes increasingly intense. Explosions begin to dominate the screen, enemies appear in absurd numbers, and entire teams reach power levels capable of transforming the battlefield into a chaotic visual spectacle. Unlike many roguelikes focused on strict balance, the project fully embraces excess as a core part of its identity.
Beyond its online co op focus, the portal system connects different apocalyptic worlds, expanding the variety between environments and encouraging new strategies with every session. The combination of fast paced action, deep build customization, and overwhelming enemy waves aims to keep the experience dynamic even after countless runs.
