Released today, the Brazilian game Concierge presents itself as a challenging, non-linear suspense adventure set in an abandoned hotel. Developed by KODINO and published by Digital Tribe, the title is now available on Steam, bringing with it a VHS-inspired aesthetic and a Lynchian atmosphere. Between complex puzzles and moments of unease, the experience invites players on an introspective journey that inhabits the fragile space between curiosity and anxiety.

The story begins when the player awakens in a decaying inn, isolated by a relentless blizzard. What first seems like a refuge soon reveals itself to be increasingly enigmatic. Among mysterious figures, such as the senile caretaker who seems to know more than he lets on, questions arise about identity, memory, and the whereabouts of the other tenants. The narrative is built upon careful observation, where every detail can be essential to understanding the truth.

Observation becomes the player’s greatest strength through the use of the Parasonik camcorder, a tool that allows them to see beyond the visible. This special lens reveals secrets hidden within the inn’s corridors, guiding the player to clues, puzzles, and encounters with the supernatural. Every space explored hides something new, challenging perception and interpretation at each step.

Progression unfolds across six abstract stages, each with unique mechanics, sounds, and visuals. Inspired by classic games and cinema, these challenges require no tutorials, relying instead on intuition to overcome obstacles. In an environment of constant change, adaptation becomes the key to survival, leaving no room for comfort. The variety of trials reinforces the unpredictability of the experience, demanding both creativity and persistence.

At the heart of it all lies the connection between player and narrative. More than solving puzzles, the journey is about piecing together a mosaic of meanings that speaks directly to subjectivity. Hand-painted environments rich with secrets, peculiar encounters, and the absence of monsters, replaced by people with their own complexities, enhance the mystery. The result is a unique experience that blends psychological tension, striking aesthetics, and personal discovery in equal measure.
