Assemble Entertainment has announced a publishing partnership with Pithead Studio to support Cralon, the first person dungeon crawler RPG created by veteran developers Björn and Jenny Pankratz. The collaboration aims to expand the game's reach by providing support in communications, storefront presence, marketing, community management, and long term visibility.

Released independently earlier this year, the game sparked extensive discussion among players and gaming outlets. Although its launch received criticism, its old school dungeon crawler design, dark atmosphere, exploration driven structure, and strong connection to the legacy of classic German RPGs helped it build a dedicated community.

With Assemble Entertainment joining the project, Pithead Studio will now benefit from broader publishing resources designed to strengthen the game's market positioning and support its continued development. The partnership is also intended to help the team deliver future updates while reaching a wider audience.

Stefan Marcinek, CEO of Assemble Entertainment, emphasized his confidence in both the studio and the project's creative vision. "Cralon is a very personal project from a small, experienced team with a clear creative vision. I have known Jenny and Bjoern personally for years. We know the release created discussion, but we also see a game with character, a passionate audience and developers who care about their work. And they proved it with multiple patches. Our role is to support Pithead Studio and help Cralon find the players who will appreciate what it sets out to do."

The adventure puts players in the role of Cralon the Brave, a hunter trapped deep inside an abandoned mine after an encounter with a demon goes terribly wrong. To escape, players must explore a vast underground world, battle dangerous creatures, complete quests, solve puzzles, gather resources, craft equipment, and uncover the secrets hidden beneath the surface.

Jenny Pankratz, Co Founder of Pithead Studio, said the partnership represents an important step for the future of the project. "After releasing Cralon independently, we are happy to have Assemble Entertainment at our side for the next step. Their experience in publishing gives us valuable support while we continue focusing on the game and our players."

The RPG is currently available for PC via Steam, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S, while the developers continue working on updates and expanding its player base with the support of the new publishing partner.
